She is by no means a “ local water woman” and the fact that she claims that shows that she has no idea what that means. My husband’s family were waterman and to claim that someone who has lived her for two years and tried to learn how to captain a ferry boat compares at all is disrespectful. A waterman’s life is made up of 18 hour days or longer, backbreaking work and danger. Shame on her.
Oh and watermen do this for very little money 365 days a year. If she is willing to lie and appropriate someone else’s culture like this she has no business being in office.
