Sounds like Foxwell is promoting progressives. This was a lovely history of a guy who Carlton R. Sickles was born in 1921 who entered public life the old‑fashioned way: by earning it... in 1950. We can be a little bit more honest than that.
I supported Carlton Sickles in his race for governor against Tom Finan and the bogot and still have a badge with his name on it. His last name may have been a handicap with uninformed voters. One day at a diner in Laurel, someone asked what's with this badge about "sickies".

Sickles did not represent the 8th Congressional District; he was the At-Large Congressman in Maryland.
He was a fine leader.
However, you left out the role Nancy Pelosi's family played in the 1966 election and the support they gave to Mahoney, much to the ire of Labor.
