And according to the Banner’s reporting, Sinclair owner David Smith — a close ally of Donald Trump — maintains unusual personal involvement in the newsroom.
That is not normal.
That is not journalism.
That is a political operation.
The pattern is familiar:

- Ignore the record.
- Pretend settled facts are unsettled.
- Manufacture controversy where none exists.

Excellent reporting when you conveniently ignore all the contrary facts. The Sun repeatedly honored and noted with gratitude his OCONUS service.....what they rightly brought notice to was his shameless self-promotion and arguable mendacity at numerous times to advance his ambitions. Veterans are appalled by such activity and rightly so. Stop shilling for the Democrats if you want to be taken seriously. I am not MAGA nor conservative at all....I simply have my BS meter turned on. Every day, I’m embarrassed for The Sun when it publishes another clickbait headline on this topic. I assume they don’t think they have a chance to beat him in 2026 but are trying to tarnish him for 2028.
