So—Delegate Jeffrey B. Long, who presents himself as an upholder of the word of God, has been said to be doing several deeds that put him on the naughty list.
1. Threatening a woman with legal credentials
It was reported that earlier today he called and threatened a Black woman with legal credentials in Maryland for no good reason. He was threatening, insulting, intimidating, aggressive, and rude. This is described as a pattern of behavior.
2. Large lien and unpaid debts connected to his church
He holds up the Bible in one hand, but with the other hand he pleads poverty and ignorance. He denies having debt even though there is a large lien and significant debt related to his ministry.
It has been said that he has not paid the rent or the electricity bill for the ministry. At one point, when the electricity was shut off, he pleaded with the energy company to turn it back on so they could pray on Sunday. He promised to pay on Monday when the office opened — and then he stiffed them, didn’t answer the phone, and went on vacation.
3. Alleged misuse of his sister’s position
It has also been said that he used his sister’s position in the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office to go after a critic, sending letters under the appearance of official authority demanding that things be taken down, despite lacking the legal basis to do so. This is described as intimidation using public office.
All of this is presented as evidence of low moral character and a reason he should be removed from office.
4. Additional commentary
It was said that District 27 once produced Mike Miller, one of the most powerful and detail‑focused Democrats in the country, and that it is a shame the district now has someone described as “insane” in office.

The conclusion was that people can now see and hear the alleged misdeeds of Jeffrey Long, and the hope expressed was that voters would not support him.
