This is just not on the Council, but squarely on the back of the County Executive and her staff. There is a process and negotiations that take place between the Council and CE to work through any concerns and address budget disagreements and concerns. Submitting a letter after the fact is disingenuous on the part of the CE. Poor management and planning is what happened here.

The failure to have a budget on time is just another big problem for our county. The Largo Park 10 million dollar fiasco, snow party while residents are stuck the lists just goes on. The real issue is incompetent leadership from Braveboy and the council.

Krystal was warned by Staff of MNCPPC. She and Burroughs disregarded it. They were warned that the budget did not balance. Krystal and Ed were more interested in project charges. And staff were told by a Braveboy deputy “not to ever send another memorandum”to the Council or the County Executive. Yet, it was MNCPPC that alerted Council and the Executive of the errors in the budget.
