This is basically what jake day has been trying to do across Maryland with luxury developments as well...total public betrayal

One only needs to look at impact studies in other states. It’s not rocket science. Frederick has rightfully earned the crown jewel title - Maryland Agritourism. It would be a true detriment to the state to install these types of data centers in Frederick.

But that is Maryland’s government playbook. Crap on 18 rural designated counties.

Five DC adjacent counties get all the resources and those five counties extract from 18. This is just one more example.

Maryland needs to stand up a cabinet level agency for rural investment and prosperity. Michigan established one in 2022.

And the prevailing Idiocracy called the Maryland Commerce Department says farms and agritourism don’t exist. The office of rural strategy established in June of 2023 can’t be bothered to answer emails.

But it appears rural county governance isn’t making wise decisions either.
