I’ve received what I consider a credible tip that a current member of the Prince George’s County Council may be in a personal relationship with someone connected to Joan’s House, a non-profit that recently received $2.5 million in county grants.
Let me be clear: I’m not looking to make accusations without evidence. But the amount of public funding involved, combined with the lack of transparency around this grant, makes it essential that we verify whether any romantic or personal relationships existed, or currently exist—between any Council member and any staff or leadership at Joan’s House.
