But I think it's a good piece and I think she's been turning out some excellent articles so she doesn't want to publish under her own name. And I actually have two writers now who contribute to this Enterprise and I very much appreciate help from both of them.
I realize that you want to complain about the state but let me put it from my perspective. These people are working as hard as they can to do their job everyday and they happen to be bright attractive people. In this article, things like attitude and smile count for a great deal. So you're saying that we should not notice things about them? Well they are working as hard as they can because you don't like the results at the moment. I think you are being less than magnanimous. But thank you for reading and I do appreciate you here even if I disagree with you.
When I got this article from one of my new writers I thought it was bright and funny and fun and different. Is it really so terrible to have a little fun sometimes.
It was kind of a fun article for me because I don't necessarily like all the people on that list. One of them is a legislator in the Maryland General Assembly named Michelle Guyton and I was mad at her about something. I had completely forgotten. What? And this may sound humorous to some people. But I never knew she was attractive. Pretty much everybody I know thinks she's attractive but I never noticed. So now I admit she is not unpleasant looking and when I look back at why I was mad at her it came back to me and I realized I was rather petty about the whole thing. So in a way, articles from a different perspective can sometimes help me to understand more about myself.
As a woman who is insulted by the focus on looks by the current crowd in Washington, I think it is prudent to focus on the ability of our politicians to be free from corruption and to get things done that are in our best interests. I read your posts because I am looking for serious commentary on Maryland politics.
Power needs to fix the state’s biggest problem: governance infrastructure, government architectural design, and total lack of connective tissue:
The Maryland “Missing Middle” which has contributed to the state’s abysmal business rankings nationwide. Fix that. Then let’s talk about subjective “attractiveness” of the political class.
