Maryland Wire: Senate Snapshot — Prince George’s Power Plays and Pitfalls Part 1”

DISTRICT 21 — James C. Rosapepe (D)
Rosapepe’s seat looks safe—for now. He’s running hard with his team, and they’ve got the whitest district in Prince George’s County, which gives them a demographic edge. The delegates all backed Trone, which rubbed some folks the wrong way, but that’s mostly forgiven. Still, not everyone’s forgotten. If a serious challenger with a little money stepped up, Rosapepe could be vulnerable.
Rosapepe is a holdover from the days when Mike Miller maintained white control over Prince George’s county. It’s the kind of race that’s ripe for disruption—if someone’s willing to spend and strategize.
