At 5:30 this morning, my phone rang with a frantic tip: Did you hear about Councilman Mike Ertel taking the fall for Congressman Johnny Olszewski on a county backed demolition scheme?
It turned out to be pure telephone-game fiction—a scrambled cocktail mixing the real-world demolition of the old Days Inn on Loch Raven Boulevard for affordable housing, routine East Towson buyout programs, and generalized county hall anxiety. Either that or I was still too sleepy to catch the whole thing.
