Alexis Solis, a government consultant from Prince George’s County and a resident of District 24, has confirmed to me that she is running for Maryland’s 5th Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. In her message, she emphasized that much of what Congressman Steny Hoyer has delivered to the district came through federal involvement and funding. She stated that she is uniquely qualified to continue that legacy due to her background in government consulting and her experience working with the federal government to secure funding for the state. Importantly, she did not condition her candidacy on Hoyer retiring—indicating that she is prepared to challenge him directly.
It is anticipated that Bishop Donut Anthony Muse will drop out as soon as he hears Alexis is in it to win it. A Power Player in Prince Georgge’s County told me that Anthony is gutless after hi heart attack and fold up like a cheap suit.
